A large, hand-polished Shattuckite egg from the Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. At 95 × 75 mm and 460 grams it has real weight and presence — the kind of specimen piece that becomes the focal point of a collection.

The body is a deep electric blue characteristic of top-grade shattuckite, with softer banding and subtle green-blue shifts across the polished surface.

About Shattuckite

Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral, named for the Shattuck Mine in Arizona where it was first identified in 1915. The finest modern specimens come from the Katanga copper belt in southern DR Congo, where it forms alongside malachite and chrysocolla. Its intense blue colour comes from the copper content. Collectors value Shattuckite for both its scarcity and its reputation as a metaphysical "stone of truth".
