My Personal Guarantee on Every Stone
Every piece I sell carries a personal guarantee I've stood behind for more than thirty years. I grade, cut and polish the majority of these stones myself, and I sign off on every order before it leaves my Sydney workshop. When something arrives in your hands, I want you to know exactly who it came from and exactly what you're holding.
What I guarantee
Genuine Australian opal. Every stone sold as Australian opal has been mined in Australia, graded by me, and either cut in my own workshop or sourced from cutters I have worked alongside for decades. No synthetics, no doublets presented as solid stones, no questions over origin.
Accurate description. Every listing reflects the stone as I see it — body tone, brightness, pattern, any treatment, any inclusion worth disclosing. If I would not buy a stone on its written description alone, I would not expect you to either.
Considered settings. I am a stones dealer rather than a jeweller. The sterling silver and 18K gold settings on my opal jewellery are produced by Sydney jewellers I have worked with for many years. Their workmanship is held to the same standard as the stones it carries.
Honest pricing. Every price reflects what is genuinely present in the stone — colour, brightness, pattern, rarity and origin — rather than what the wider market believes it can charge.
If something is not right
If a stone or finished piece arrives and it does not meet your expectations, please contact me directly. We will discuss it openly and arrive at a fair resolution — refund, exchange or otherwise — that respects the trust you have placed in this purchase.
You can reach me on 0407 192 564 or through the contact page. Reference your order number and I will handle the matter personally.
Visit me in Sydney
The most rewarding way to select an opal is to view it in person, in natural daylight. If you are in Sydney, I am at The Rocks Market on George Street every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, under the main canopy — and have been for more than twenty-five years.
You are welcome to bring an online purchase in for a second look together, or simply to discuss a piece you are considering. That continuity — the same stall, weekend after weekend — is the foundation this business has always been built on.
