An Australian Mookaite Jasper specimen from the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction in Western Australia. The stone carries Mookaite's signature porcelain-smooth surface and the full spectrum of colour it's famous for — strong beige and yellow through blush pink and into deep burgundy, all in one piece.

A collector's display stone, and one of Australia's most distinctive jaspers.

About Mookaite Jasper

Mookaite is found only at Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges, roughly 100 miles inland from Carnarvon on the Western Australian coast. The name comes directly from the creek. Its signature porcelain surface and warm, earthy colour palette are the result of silica-rich sediments that fossilised the remains of tiny marine organisms (radiolaria) over 100 million years ago. No two pieces share the same pattern.
