Seven rounds of vivid apple-green chrysoprase, each sitting in its own individual bezel of sterling silver — this bracelet wears as a clean run of strong colour along the wrist. Chrysoprase has an even, saturated green that doesn't depend on light angle the way opal does; it just holds its colour steadily, with a soft translucent glow from the inside of each stone. The stones Joseph picked here are all notably bright — well-matched in tone, and a cut above what you usually see in finished jewellery. Sterling silver bezels keep the setting unfussy, letting the stones do the work.
About Chrysoprase
Chrysoprase is the most prized variety of chalcedony — a microcrystalline quartz — coloured a vivid apple-to-deep green by traces of nickel. Unlike most green stones, its colour comes not from chromium or vanadium but from nickel silicate inclusions distributed evenly through the silica, which gives chrysoprase its characteristic even, saturated tone rather than a zoned or patchy one. Australia produces some of the finest chrysoprase in the world; the Marlborough deposit in Central Queensland is one of the premier sources globally, and Marlborough chrysoprase is sometimes called "Australian jade" — though it has no geological relationship to true jade. The stone is translucent to opaque, takes a high polish, and sits at around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale — considerably more durable than opal, and well suited to everyday bracelet wear.

Caring for Your Chrysoprase
Chrysoprase is a durable stone and straightforward to care for. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense heat or extended direct sunlight — chrysoprase can lose colour saturation over time under harsh conditions. Keep away from harsh chemicals such as bleach or chlorine. No special water precautions are needed for day-to-day wear.
